The arguments over the Shiv Sena petition against the Governor's order calling for floor test was challenged in the Supreme Court by the Maharashtra government, represented by Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi.

The Bombay High Court today quashed the order issued by the by BMC on September 9 in the demolition of the office of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut in Mumbai. The court said that the action of BMC has been done with malicious attitude.

The Bombay High Court has said that freedom of speech and expression given under Article 19 of the Constitution is not an absolute right while denying interim protection from arrest to a woman for allegedly making objectionable remarks on Twitter against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aditya Thackeray.
