Corona epidemic

The Himachal Pradesh High court Bench of Acting Chief Justice Ravi Malimath and Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua has heard a bunch of Petitions including a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed alleging inadequate facilities and infrastructure in the state to deal with Corona Epidemic.

The Vedanta company in its affidavit has again asked the court to allow it to run the plant and states that it is the duty of Tamil Nadu Government to ensure that no law and order issues arise if the plant is reopened.

The Madras High Court on Friday directed the government to not to allow more than 50 per cent of the seating occupancy in theatres till January 11.

The Calcutta High Court has issued a new order regarding firecrackers due to the Corona epidemic. Yesterday, the court banned fireworks in West Bengal for this Diwali. The court said in its order that selling and bursting of firecrackers in West Bengal will be prohibited this year.
