The Supreme Court on Thursday granted 10 days time to the Central government to file counter-affidavit against plea challenging conjugal rights provisions.

Advocate Ashima Mandla for the petitioner submitted during the hearing today that pleadings are not completed in this matter as only 24 respondents have filed their counter-affidavit.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in its counter-affidavit sought direction from the Delhi High Court restraining WhatsApp from implementing its new privacy policy and terms of service dated January 4.
