The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal has extended the suspension of its functioning till July 10th, 2020, after its staff member was found positive. The Court work including virtual hearing, filing, etc will also remain suspended during this period.

NCLAT had previously suspended its functioning till 3rd July 2020 after a staff member was tested positive and sanitisation and sealing of the premises was mandated. Everyone who had come in contact with the affected person including the Chairperson, Registry officers and other staff members were tested for COVID-19. Out of the people tested, one staff person has tested positive.

Some members of the staff had come in contact with the affected person. The notification has stated that to ensure everyone’s personal safety and prevent any hazard to human life, the Court has decided to extend its suspension.
