Covid-19 restrictions

The plea in Bombay High Court seeking to include the sale of books as an essential service under the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA), 1968 has been filed by Marathi Prakashak Parishad, an organisation of Marathi book publishers from Pune, through Advocate Asim Sarode.

The Allahabad High Court on Monday said that with reduction in the number of positive Covid-19 cases in the State, people have put their guards down and have reduced strictness in wearing masks.

Chief Justice of India S.A. Bobde has said that the process to resume physical hearings has begun and will, for the time-being, be reintroduced via hybrid hearings.
