The Delhi High Court has directed Jawaharlal Nehru University and the Delhi Government to file fresh status reports before the next date of hearing.

The Jawaharlal Nehru University will today file a status report with regard to a petition filed by its students and faculty, seeking direction from the Delhi High Court, to create a Covid Care Facility in the campus, while stating that right to life and health is under severe jeopardy.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday reacted angrily to a news item, which had quoted a Delhi government notification, saying that 100 rooms of the Ashoka Hotel in Chanakyapuri would be converted into Covid care, exclusively for Justices and other Judicial Officers.

The Delhi government on Monday ordered to convert 100 rooms of Ashoka Hotel, Chanakyapuri into Covid Care facility by the Primus Hospital, exclusively for Justices and other Judicial Officers of the Delhi High Court and their family members.
