COVID spread

The pandemic is surely surging back, and who knows what level of infection would be detected after the poll process is over. In the end, though, the common man is the worst sufferer. He is damned if he does (engage in the poll process) and damned if he doesn’t.

A petition has come before Supreme Court – filed by Jamiat Ulama I Hind against the Union of India – asking it to direct the government and the media not to demonize the entire Muslim community for the spread of COVID-19, because of one religious congregation, by the Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin Markaz.

Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray, also president of Yuvasena, has appealed to the Supreme Court through his organization, to direct universities to chart out their own plan of action vis-à-vis their final year examinations.
