A Delhi court on Monday reserved its order on the bail application filed by Red Fort violence accused Punjabi actor-turned-activist Deep Sidhu who was arrested for his alleged involvement in the violence that took place at the Red Fort and other parts of the national capital on Republic Day.
The probe agency has booked Ahmed under Section 120B (Criminal Conspiracy) read with 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He is also booked under section 51 read with Section 58 of Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.
The prosecution claims that AAP Lawmaker Akhilesh Pati Tripathi and others allegedly instigated a mob of hundred people against Delhi Police, and took no serious action to arrest the accused in a murder case.
A Delhi court on Wednesday halted the proceedings against a man who was turned into an accused by the Delhi Police days after he filed a complaint with the police alleging loot, arson, and damage to his house during the violence and riots that broke out in the national capital in February last year.
