The President of India has given assent to the Delhi Municipal Corporation Amendment Bill, 2022 to merge the three municipal corporations in the national capital.

The bench, presided by Justice Sanghi, which was later joined by Justice Jasmeet Singh in place of Justice Palli, continued undertaking the affairs pertaining to the ongoing crisis as the lone pillar protecting the national capital of this country.

Dutt told a press conference the BJP has been in control of the municipal corporations for 13 years. The BJP had said in the 2017 manifesto that if the Delhi government does not provide funds, it will take money from the Centre.

The Delhi High Court has directed Counsel to file an affidavit on the plea seeking direction to provide cashless medical services to retired teachers and employees of Municipal Corporations of Delhi.

The Court imposed costs of Rs. 1 lakh on the manager, giving strict observations regarding encroachment of public properties in the garb of places of worship while ruling in favor of DDA.

Senior Congress leader and former minister Ajay Maken has moved the Supreme Court, asking it to make government bodies ensure that slum dwellers are rehabilitated before the removal of 48,000 illegal dwellings (jhuggis) alongside railway tracks in Delhi.
