Delhi Riots accused

Gulfisha Fatima has been charged under various sections of UAPA for being involved in the riots that happened in the North East Delhi. It is alleged that she was part of a larger conspiracy behind inciting the Northeast Delhi Riots that took place in February 2020.

A Karkardooma court ordered the immediate release of Natasha Narwal, Devangana Kalita and Asif Iqbal Tanha, who are accused of a larger conspiracy behind the Northeast Delhi riots… Court showed strictness against police…asked, despite custody for a year, why did not verify the address immediately.

Learned Special Public Prosecutor also submitted that petitioner was suffering from ATPD, however, there are different subtypes of ATPD, some of which have a maximum duration of symptoms for one month and others for a maximum duration of 3 months.

The Delhi High Court while dismissing the bail plea filed by Delhi riots accused Shahrukh Pathan made a persistent observation over certain contents of the plea said that “Highly derogatory and serious allegations have been made against the Government of India, Ministers and Judge of this Court”.

A Delhi court has directed DCP, North-East to issue directions to Investigating Officers (IOs) in all police stations to supply the copy of charge sheet to the accused persons within time while noting the delay in a trial in matters related to North-East Delhi Riots due to non-compliance of said procedure.
