It was further contended that any delay in the protection order would cause irreparable loss to Amazon.

The Delhi High Court was informed on Friday by e-retail giant Amazon Inc. that "it is committed to help Kishore Biyani led Future Group from sinking".

A divisional bench of the Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh while hearing the appeal through video conferencing issued a notice on an appeal filed by Amazon against the order of a Single Judge.

New Delhi (ILNS): There was some level of good news for Future Retail in its complicated deal involving Reliance Retail on the one hand and Amazon on the other. The Competition Commission of India (CCI) today approved its sale to Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Retail.

The Kishore Biyani-led Future Group has filed a Caveat petition in Delhi High Court, apprehending a move by Amazon. The petition says: "No decision of any kind should be given on any kind of petition filed by Amazon."
