The Health & Family Welfare Department shall file an affidavit, apprising this Court as to how many persons, who are not having proper documents in support of their identification, have been vaccinated, how the second dose of vaccination would be given to such persons and in what manner: Gauhati HC

Prima facie, it appears to be a classification not founded on intelligible differentia nor it is found to have a rational relation/nexus to the object sought to be achieved by such classification, namely, containment and further spread of COVID-19 pandemic, noted the apex court.

The Gauhati High Court on Monday took suo motu cognizance of the 'alarming situation' of the second covid wave after observing that extremely high positivity rate in the States of Nagaland, Mizoram, and Arunachal Pradesh.

The court noted: The advertisement was made pursuant to Memo No. DJK/2433-34 dated 07.06.2016 issued by the District Legal Services Authority, Kamrup (DLSA, Kamrup).

It is further submitted that as per Clause 70 thereof, provides for preservation of answer scripts, which is not for nothing, but the underlying purpose would be to provide copy of answer scripts.
