Gauhati High Court division bench closes a PIL raising a contention that the PMKSN’ Scheme has not been effectively implemented and poor genuine farmers have been deprived of their right to obtain financial assistance of PMKSN scheme launched by the Central Government in the year 2019. 

The Gauhati High Court directed the respondent authorities to expedite the process of establishing the proposed medical college & hospital at District  Karimganj and complete the same as early as possible. 

The PIL in Madras High Court further seeks direction to take all measures in accordance with law for more upkeep in the welfare and maintenance of the temple elephants in the State of Tamil Nadu.

The Gauhati High Court has directed the petitioners to move a representation before the Secretary, Water Resource Department, Government of Assam, regarding change of alignment, design as well as the place of a river bank.
