Petitioner Jaswant Brar has filed the petition in Punjab and Haryana High Court for appointment of a warrant officer to produce Sadhu Singh who has been illegally detained by Private Respondents and to hand over his custody to the Petitioner for his medical treatment and to save his life.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta submitted, “I have a preliminary objection, that one person is in jail and a charge sheet has been filed against him under the UAPA. Eight persons filed for bail and a journalists’ association file a Habeas Corpus petition, which is not maintainable.
