Refusing bail to one of the accused in delhi riots 2020, the Delhi High Court on Monday said that Delhi riots were planned and calculated to cause disruptions and not triggered by any incident.

A single judge bench Delhi High Court granted bail to accused in connection with murder of Head Constable Ratan Lal while hearing a bail application Shahnawaz and others.

The Delhi High Court granted bail to Furkan, Mohd Arif, Shadab Ahmad, Suvaleen and Tabassum, who all have been in judicial custody since last year, for allegedly causing the death of Head Constable Ratan Lal, as also causing serious head injuries to the DCP North-East and damaging public property
