Luthra appearing before the Delhi High Court submitted, “Your lordship was pleased to keep it on 17th May. An SLP was filed, my request is that there is an emergency, a health emergency.”

The petition filed by Pratyush Prasanna, practising Advocate said, “public interest litigation has arisen out of health emergency arising due to overwhelmed crematoriums and untimely burial/cremations of people of Delhi who have succumbed to death due to Covid-19.”

Looking at the health emergency that erupted due to the scarcity of oxygen at various hospitals in the national capital, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday directed the Centre and AAP government to fulfill the demands while saying "Beg, Borrow or Steal but these demands have to be met."
