The Allahabad High Court has granted interim stay on the filling of Group 'C' posts of the University from the Commission in a matter of the state government's order to fill up Group 'C' posts in universities with the U.P. Subordinate Services Selection Commission.
The Delhi High Court on Monday granted further six weeks time to the Registrar of High Court of Delhi and the Delhi Government to file a status report on a plea seeking directions to make rules/regulations for the Courts/tribunals which are subordinate to the High Court of Delhi under the aegis of Article 227 of the Constitution of India, Code of Civil Procedure 1908 and or Code of Criminal Procedure 1973.
A Supreme Court bench has issued a notice in the matter filed by the Caste Tribe Mahsool Karmachari Sanghatna, challenging the Government notification whereby the State of Maharashtra has withheld the promotions of the officers/employees of the said State Government despite the order of this Court.
The Calcutta High Court has said it is the fundamental right of a reporter to publish news of “any illegal” activity “in an honest way” and “proper reporting” can help the administration act against offenders, while allowing plea for anticipatory bail.
