The e-Committee is the governing body overseeing the e-Courts Project conceptualized under the “National Policy and Action Plan for Implementation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the Indian Judiciary-2005.”

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has hailed the appointment of Justice Nuthalapati Venkata Ramana as the next Chief Justice of India. In his first reaction on the appointment, Mehta said the incoming Chief Justice is fully equipped to meet all the challenges.

The CJI is now looked upon to make a difference by challenging the status quo and bringing in newer approaches, modern methods and fundamental changes to the judicial system.

PM Modi lauded the virtual hearing saying they have enabled ease of justice.

THE Indian judiciary, like other institutions, is facing an unprecedented challenge and trying hard to devise means to keep the wheels of justice moving. The main avenue is by adjudicating urgent matters through video-conferencing and issuing several directions.
