In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (2) of section 79 and sub-section (2) of section 69A, read with sub-section (1) of section 87

The Ministry of Information and Technology on Monday released a new set of guidelines to restrict hateful content spreading on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter.

The ministry statement said: “The names of all those associated with the development of the App and management of the App ecosystem at various stages was shared when the code was released in Open/Public Domain and the same was shared widely in media also.”
