A single-judge bench of Allahabad high court while hearing an application under section 482 filed by Bal Krishna and others quashed the criminal proceeding against Prabhu Chawla, Arun Puri and Balakrishna in the court of the Judicial Magistrate, Azamgarh.

A single-judge bench while hearing a petition filed by Saurabh Tiwari refused to interfere on the order of the subordinate court Varanasi, rejecting the application filed under section 156(3) seeking registration of FIR against comedian Kunal Kamra.
