The Bombay High Court has directed the Collector of Gondia district and other officers to remain present before the High Court on January 5, 2022 for the hearing of a suo motu PIL on the survival of Sarus Crane as a bird species in India.

Bombay High Court division bench heard a Suo Moto Public Interest Litigation (PIL) , relating to the use of nylon/synthetic thread (manja) and directed the respondents to form special cells for taking effective action against the violators as per the ban imposed by the National Green Tribunal.
