In view of the statement made by the counsels for Punjab and Haryana as well as the senior standing counsel for the Union Territory, Chandigarh, the Division Bench of Punjab and Haryana High Court did not find any reason to entertain the PIL which was accordingly disposed of.

Jagmohan Singh Bhatti, counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent authorities have taken cognizance of the complaint made by the Petitioner and vide their reply informed that the illegal construction being undertaken at Palika Vihar, Ambala City has been ordered to be sealed.

Lokesh Sinhal, Senior Additional Advocate General, appeared  for the State of Haryana as well as the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) submitted that the aforesaid representations filed by the petitioner shall be considered and decided by the respondent authorities as early as possible.

The PIL in Punjab and Haryana High Court filed by one Kartar Singh further contended that the respondent authorities on the contrary have issued a notification dated 29.09.2020, which according to the petitioner is in violation of RTE Act provisions.

The PIL in Punjab and Haryana High Court has been filed by one Kuldip Rai Dogra. H.C. Arora, the counsel for the petitioner, submitted that the petitioner has served the respondent authorities with a legal notice/demand notice dated 30.10.2021 which has not been responded to, till date.
