A single-judge bench of Chhattisgarh High Court while hearing a Criminal Revision filed by Bhanu Singh acquitted a former Sarpanch for offence under Section 354 IPC.

The Chhattisgarh High Court has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed raising the  grievance of a construction of a temple situated at village Bhulsi Kala,  District Balrampur-Ramanujganj, which is recorded as "Bade Chhote Jhad ka Jungle".

The Chhattisgarh High Court disposes of a PIL alleging that from the year 2007 to 2011 though various roads were constructed by the respondents authorities under the Scheme commonly known as ADB projects, the quality of the construction was abysmally poor and was much below the minimum specification.
