The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to entertain a PIL, seeking directions to the Centre for officially recognising the game of hockey as the national game of India.
The majority also set aside other provisions of the Ordinance, including four-year tenure of Chairmen and members of various tribunals, calling them unconstitutional.
The plea stated that hospitals in Noida and Gurgaon have made it mandatory to produce Aadhaar cards with a local Noida or Gurgaon address, as the case may be, for being eligible to be admitted to the hospitals situated there.
