While considering the PIL, Bombay High Court division bench directed to make Collector, Chandrapur and Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandrapur as party respondents by amending the cause title with immediate effect and issuing notice to the respondents after the amendments are carried out.

The Nagpur Division Bench of Bombay High Court dismisses a PIL seeking a direction to the State Government to grant permission to re-start the cock fighting on the ground that the cock fighting is a traditional sport, which is enjoyed by the citizens of the State of Maharashtra since ages.
