A single bench of Justice Vibhu Bakhru called the issue a controversial one and allowed the anticipatory bail application on conditions that the petitioner shall continue to cooperate with the investigation officer and appear before him whenever required.

A Single bench of Justice Vibhu Bakhru has acquitted the HIV-positive man who raped his minor step-daughter in attempt to murder case.

The Delhi High Court has stated: “A confession made can’t find its way out, but it has found its way out.”

Justice Vibhu Bakhru passed the acquittal orders, holding that, given the evidence and material on record, the standard of proof to convict the appellant has not been met. The appeal is, accordingly, allowed. The appellant is acquitted. "He is directed to be released forthwith," said the court.
