The Supreme Court on Friday asked all State Governments to send back migrants who have been stuck since the imposition of the lockdown within 15 days even as it reserved its order on the suo motu petition on the plight of migrant labour for June 9.
Two men, Achhar Singh and Budhi Singh, had challenged their conviction by the Himachal Pradesh High Court. One had been sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment and the other to undergo life imprisonment, plus a fine. The High Court had overturned their acquittal by the trial court.
