In an affidavit filed in the apex court, the BCI has opposed Centre's stand that a special unit within the police force be given the task and said that the judiciary should form a separate force under its control and should not be dependent on governments and police force for this purpose.
The applicant submitted that the Advocates of Bar Association Utraula had passed two resolutions on April 6, 2016 and September 11, 2018, wherein it was resolved that no Advocate shall appear or will file any proceedings of the criminal nature against the member of that bar or their families.
