The Supreme Court has observed that Judges should refrain from passing oral direction, particularly in criminal matters, as it is not acceptable.

Sanjay was in jail for the past several years for a bunch of cheating and fraud cases in relation to non-delivery of houses and diversion of money. There are allegations against him that he was wrongly investing one project’s funds in another project.

The Supreme Court will today pronounce its verdict in an appeal filed by the Election Commission against Madras High Court, for stating that the Commission was singularly responsible for the surge in Covid-19.

The Commission had filed an application in the Madras High Court against its oral observation and said that media reports of the Court’s oral comments had caused grave prejudice to it.
