The outgoing year saw the working of the courts hit by the second wave of Covid-19. Despite that, the Apex Court continued with virtual hearings and then physical hearings as things began to get better until Omicron came calling.
The Tehsildar invoking his power under Section 32 of the M.P. Land Revenue Code, 159 restrained the Petitioners Rakesh Katare and Savita Katare from raising construction and further directed them to maintain status-quo on the nazul land, which was described as old Government Excise Warehouse Building.
According to the petition, respondent No. 4 and 5 have applied for conversion of the land bearing Khasra No.107/11 ad-measuring 1.137 hectares out of which 1.00 acres of land was applied for conversion for commercial purposes on 21.12.2015.
Although the applications to demand anticipatory bail were dismissed in the month of December 2019 and September 2020 respectively, it appears that the applicant could be arrested only on February 4, 2021.
