The Gwalior Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court has stayed the order reserving the office of the Chairperson of Municipal Council Indergarh, District Datia (MP) for Scheduled Caste.

The Jabalpur Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Wednesday asked the government advocate to find out why the Collector, Satna had not complied with the Court order in a 41-year-old Civil Suit.

On being elected as a Rajya Sabha MP and becoming a Union Minister, the minister gets the salary and allowance and pension of both MLA and MP.

The Court clarified that married daughter is entitled to claim compassionate appointment and if she is otherwise eligible to get the same, her claim cannot be rejected by the authority.

The petitioner on the behalf of counsel claimed that with improper maintenance of canals, villagers are not receiving a sufficient quantity of water.

The duo was arrested along with Faruqui on January 2 for making objectionable comments against Home minister Amit Shah and hindu deities.

Counsel for the petitioner has assailed the impugned order mainly on the ground that the same is illegal and arbitrary and the authority which has passed the order impugned, has no competence to pass such an order.

The petitioner has approached the High Court challenging the order dated 11.01.2021 passed by the Commissioner dismissing the claim of the petitioner on the ground that the claim is barred by time as the same has been raised by the petitioner after 30 years
