Hearing the matter of increasing deaths of forest rangers, the bench of Chief Justice S.A. Bobde, Justices A.S. Bopanna and V. Ramasubramanian expressed concern and CJI Bobde said each forest officer is entitled to more protection than others.
A Sessions Court in Indore (Madhya Pradesh) on Tuesday rejected bail to stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui and another accused of making "indecent" remarks against Hindu deities during a show held in Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
After hearing this argument, the court dismissed the petition. The court made it clear that relief should not be expected by making excuses like this. The Bench does not operate from anyone's private facility. As long as the case is sub-judice, attendance in the court is required.
