Bombay High Court observed that it is not in dispute that after the PIL petition was instituted on 8th March 2022, the MCGM has issued a notice on 11th March 2022 under section 351(1) of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888 against Chairman and Secretary engaged in construction work.

The Court said they are leaving it to the wisdom of the Task Force to incorporate such measures as would ultimately benefit the elderly and the disabled citizens, in whose interest such guidelines have been conceived.

A meeting of all the above 82 elected Councillors of the BJP was held at which it was unanimously decided that one Mr. Manoj Kotak would be the Group Leader of the BJP in the MCGM.
