The Delhi High Court on Friday heard a plea seeking medical termination of 25-weeks pregnancy.

The Kerala High Court on Monday allowed the medical termination of a 26-week pregnant minor rape victim. A single bench of Justice P.V. Asha heard the civil writ petition, and recorded that the continuation of the pregnancy is contrary to the safety and interests of the victim, who is only 15.

Bombay High Court bench of Justices Nitin Jamdar and Milind Jadhav has disallowed medical termination of pregnancy to a woman, who wanted the procedure in her 22nd week of pregnancy, because ultra sonograph pictures have shown that the foetus has a left cleft lip and cleft palate deformity.

The bench comprising Justice Nitin Jamdar and Justice Surendra Tavade was hearing a petition filed by the mother of the 12 year old rape survivor seeking medical termination of pregnancy of her minor child who had been repeatedly raped by some people from the neighbourhood.
