The Central Government has filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court regarding OTT platforms. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) said that according to the new rules, the content of OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime is being monitored.

New Delhi (ILNS): The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology today issued a press release which states that the Ministry under section 69A of the Information Technology Act has blocked access to 49 mobile Apps.

Congress ideologue, Tehseen Poonawala has written a letter to Rajat Sharma, President of the News Broadcasting Association (NBA), requesting immediate guidelines to all news channels on their coverage of the ‘love jihad’ issue.

After the Mumbai Police last month claimed that they had unearthed a TRP scam, the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting yesterday decided to set up a four-member committee to study the different aspects of the Television Rating Points (TRP) system.

The Delhi High Court has today directed the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to pass an order within 4 weeks on a complaint filed alleging that the Republic TV has violated the program code and further alleged for the uplinking and downlinking guidelines.
