Any indecent or derogatory, defamatory or motivated, statements made in the Print, Electronic or Social Media against any Court or Judge or any member of Judiciary, by any Advocate shall be a ground for his/her suspension or disqualification, said the amended Bar Council of India rules.

The Supreme Court has refused to consider the petition of an Indian Revenue Service official, challenging the government's decision for compulsory retirement. The court asked the petitioner to go to the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) for relief.
