The Delhi High Court on Thursday dismissed the plea of the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father Krishna Kishore Singh’s application for injunction against Sarla A Sarogi’s movie Nyay – the justice on the life and death of of Rajput. Hence there will be no stay on the release of the film.

Krishna Kishore had also moved the high court, alleging that people were taking advantage of his son’s death.
What the court’s bench of Justice Sanjeev Narula did, however, was that it directed the producers to maintain the accounts of the film.

Krishna Kishore’s appeal included a plea for a ban order against this movie and other ventures depicting the late Bollywood actor’s personal life, name, images, caricature, lifestyle, likeness in the form of a biopic or story. Krishna Kishore’s argument was that the unfortunate death of the actor was seen as an “opportunity to get fame by developing different theories/stories”, and that this hurt the family’s reputation.

Other movies line up for release on the same issue are “Suicide or Murder: A star was lost”, and “Shashank”. These include web series.
