A Supreme Court bench adjourned the hearing in an appeal filed by the “National Medical Commission” challenging the order of Rajasthan High Court for two weeks.

The National Green Tribunal disposed of the plea seeking for a direction to amend the Regulations titled “Minimum Requirements for Annual MBBS Admissions Regulations (2020)” issued by the National Medical Commission, terming it as a policy matter to be considered by the concerned authority.

The petition, filed by Dr Rohit Jain, alleged that the notification has been finalized and notified in an utmost arbitrary manner without following the due process of law as prescribed under Section 7 of the Clinical Establishment Act, 2010.
