The Delhi High Court today dismissed a petition filed by Dr Prasannanshu against the procedure of appointment of Vice-Chancellor of the National Law University (NLU), Delhi.

The Vice-Chancellor of National Law University, Delhi has signed an order (of August 10) demoting Professor Jeet Singh Mann to Assistant Professor for a period of five years, with a bar on his promotion.

The High Court of Delhi on Monday has stayed the horizontal reservation of 50% to Delhi Candidate in National Law University, Delhi. The bench has however maintained status quo on the previous academic year.

A petition has been filed before the Delhi High Court seeking the quashing of provision of NLU Delhi giving 50% reservation in BALLB and LLM Courses to students who passed their qualifying exam from institute located in Delhi.
