Gulfisha Fatima has been charged under various sections of UAPA for being involved in the riots that happened in the North East Delhi. It is alleged that she was part of a larger conspiracy behind inciting the Northeast Delhi Riots that took place in February 2020.

The Delhi riots 2020 are a gaping wound in the conscience of a nation aspiring to be a major global power. The allegations against the applicant are extremely grave in nature, said ASJ Vinod Yadav, while dismissing the bail application filed by former AAP Councillor Tahir Hussain.

A Delhi Court on Thursday granted bail to former JNU student Umar Khalid in the case relating to the violence that broke out in the Khajuri Khas area of North East district of national capital and said "chargesheeting him in this case on the basis of such an insignificant material is unwarranted."

The judge while passing the said orders said, "It is indubitably true that every accused has the fundamental right to free and fair investigation as also trial."

It has also been stated that the Delhi government did not provide adequate compensation for the loss suffered by these innocent people and hence they must compensate the people suffered in the riot.

Not only this, Pracha has also appeared for Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar, who came to protest at Jama Masjid in Delhi in the CAA case.

Justice Suresh Kumar Kait granted bail to the accused upon furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs 30,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court/Duty Judge.

A Delhi court today passed direction for the judicial remand of Umar Khalid till October 22 in connection with allegations against him for instigating the northeast Delhi riots.
