A single-judge bench of Allahabad High Court while hearing a Petition filed by Keshav Verma stayed the suspension order passed by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Prayagraj against Police Inspector, Keshav Verma.

Allahabad High Court while hearing a petition filed by Smt. Ankita Mishra And Another expressed shock over the abduction of a girl who has an inter-caste marriage from the advocate's chamber and directed the Prayagraj SSP and Jaunpur SP to investigate and present the kidnapped girl.

It is contended that the staff and bouncers working of Hotel Allahabad Regency, Civil Lines, Prayagraj, have let loose a reign of terror upon residents of the neighbourhood. The petition has demanded that the local people be provided security from the hotel staff.
