A single-judge bench of Allahabad High Court while hearing an application under section 482 filed by Mohd Yasir rejecting an application said that unsafe transport can endanger the life of the cow and doing so is an offense under Section 5B of the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act.

A single-judge bench of Allahabad High Court while hearing the petition filed by Manjeet Tanwar @ Manjeet Tankar said that the magistrate has the power to release that vehicle through which the skin of the cow was being transported under section 451 or section 457 of CrPC.
