The public interest litigation seeks direction to the center to restrain the agitating farmers from constructing the permanent construction over the public roads across the borders of the NCT of Delhi.

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court challenging the order of the Allahabad High Court dismissing a Public Interest Litigation seeking Postponement of Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Election 2021 scheduled from 15th April, 2021

The Counsel informed the Court that they have already made a representation to the EC and that they have appreciated it. However, the Bench, while dismissing the plea, stated, “Certainly we can do, but we don’t want to do.”

The Bombay High court directing the registry to register the Suo Motu PIL rule said that a sudden rise in COVID-19 cases arose a need for the intervention of the Court to revisit the measures.

The Court referred to the above said Rules, which clearly provide a procedure for determination of vacancy, and the selection and promotion for filling up the post in prisons.

The Jabalpur Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court on Friday has disposed of the Public Interest Litigation with the direction to the Jabalpur Regional Manager of the State Pollution Control Board to take action on the complaint of polluting the environment by a rice mill in Katangi in Balaghat district.

The High Court bench while hearing the plea of Dr Vikram Singh issued notice to the Election Commission of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs and sought their response by April 30.
