Punjab and Haryana Bar Council

Ministry of  Law and Justice has announced in its order dated 13th April about the resignation of  Justice Ajay Tewari, from the office of judge, Punjab and Haryana High court with effect from March 15,2022(afternoon)

The Bar Council of India (BCI), in its recently held meeting, refused to stay the May 7 order of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana (BCPH). The BCPH had stayed the operation of a resolution of the High Court Bar Association, which had sought a transfer of the Chief Justice of the court.

It was further, requested to the Advocate General of Punjab ,Atul Nanda, to immediately release one crore from Trustee Committee (Punjab) as Covid Fund as given by Haryana.

The Punjab and Haryana Bar Council has asked lawyers to not use social media for advertisements to solicit work, as the act would amount to misconduct.
