The National Crime Records Bureau’s latest data for 2020 is worrisome in many respects. As compared to last year, there has been an increase of 28 percent in the total cases of crimes in the country. The number of cases registered under the SC/ST sections has also increased last year. Uttar Pradesh tops the list in crimes against women.
