The Delhi HC directed Delhi Police to provide protection to woman converted to Islam. The petitioner seeks direction against the Jamia Nagar SHO, Delhi govt, UP govt and the DGP of Uttar Pradesh after her family complained threat by state officials media, persons and vigilante groups.
It is further clarified that the fact of the petitioner having converted to Islam would not be a relevant factor while ensuring that there is no interference in the liberty of the petitioners unless there is any allegation by petitioner no.1 regarding forcible conversion.
