Earlier in the day, Additional Sessions Judge Neelofer Abida Parveen had granted bail to Sidhu on a bail bond of Rs 30,000 and two sureties of the like amount.

The special cell of Delhi Police arrested Deep Sidhu and sent him to seven-day custody on February 9 for his involvement on January 26 in Delhi violence.

Deep Sidhu, who is accused of instigating the crowds to enter Red Fort said he was only helping out the police in pacifying the crowd.

Journalists Mrinal Pande, Zafar Agha, The Caravan's Paresh Nath, and Anant Nath approached the court on Tuesday evening against the FIRs in the same matter.

The petitioner has sought directions to take action against the perpetrators of Republic Day violence that left one farmer dead and many police personnel injured.
