After the clash between farmers and the police on R-Day, a slew of lawsuits was filed. Courts have now ordered the Delhi police to upload all relevant FIRs from Nangloi police station on its website.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday has stayed the arrest of senior Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, six journalists including Rajdeep Sardesai, Vinod Jose, and others while hearing the petition challenging the multiple FIRs filed against them for allegedly sharing misinformation on Republic Day.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to entertain a PIL seeking a probe by a judicial inquiry commission into the Republic Day violence during farmers' tractor rally in the capital.
The petitioner has sought directions to take action against the perpetrators of Republic Day violence that left one farmer dead and many police personnel injured.
The PIL has been filed by Harman Preet Singh a Law Graduate alleging that the detained persons were illegally detained from the Singhu border, Ghazipur border and Tikri border, in the absence of any FIR, thereby violating the basic fabric of liberty.
The miscreants attacked the police and paramilitary personnel deployed with rods, swords and sticks. They then broke into the Red Fort complex with tractors. There is no part left here that has not been damaged, the press release said.
