The centre has rejected the recommendations of High Courts and Supreme Court for elevation of Judicial Officers Ms Poonam A. Bamba and Ms Swarana Kanta Sharma as Judges of the Delhi High Court.

These Tablighi Jamaat members were acquitted last year.The Saket Court Complex, New Delhi has directed to release original passports of 31 Foreign Tablighi Jamaat members acquitted on December 20, 2020 later, for whom the Supreme Court on January 13 directed the government to facilitate their return.

Delhi Court, District and Sessions Judge today has issued directions regarding sealing and sanitization of chamber and Court Room No.208, Saket Court Complex after Ms Mayuri Singh, MM (Mahila Court-1), South District, Saket Court tested COVID-19 positive.
