Since the grievance raised by the petitioner stood redressed, the matter has become infructuous and no further adjudication is required in this public interest litigation, observed the division bench of Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The Delhi High Court vacation bench stayed 25th May, 16th June orders & summons dated 17th June 2021 issued by the learned NCSC against Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare and the Medical Superintendent and Director, RML Hospital to appear personally before the Chairman of the learned NCSC.

The minor, belonging to a Scheduled Caste community, has alleged that she was gang-raped, solely for her family’s political affiliations and for her religious beliefs.
